    Coordinating auditory and visual speech information by children with autism: The eyes don't have it.

    Combining auditory and visual components of information in the environment is a skill that children make use of at a very early age, and it is thought to be essential for the understanding and development of language skills. One of the central diagnostic features of autism is disordered language development. This presentation will be an overview of several studies examining the coordination of visual and auditory signals by children with autism in several different paradigms.
